Concept Study Ferrari California Wheel, Borrani
KesselsGranger DesignWorks was asked by Ruote Milano Srl (Italy) to develop a concept study for a Borrani Bimetal wheel for the Ferrari California. The design was inspired by the heritage of Borrani Bimetal and Ferrari wheels of the 1950s & 1960s.
Borrani wheels have been handmade in Italy for over 90 years, to original specifications and to the highest standards. The relationship between Ferrari and Borrani started in 1924, when the young Enzo Ferrari ran and won the Acerbo Cup in Pescara with a car equipped with Rudge Whitworth Milano / Borrani wire wheels. A partnership was formed and in years to come Borrani wheels would become standard on Ferrari models.
