Waterbus
The Waterbus Rotterdam-Drechtsteden is a form of public transport on water that travels between Rotterdam and Dordrecht, and within the Drechtsteden region, in the Dutch province of South Holland. The connection has been operated by Aquabus BV since 1 January 2010 on behalf of the public transport authority South Holland and is a joint venture of Arriva and Koninklijke Doeksen BV.
Waterbus sails with 13 ships daily to 21 stops in the Drechtsteden and the Rotterdam region. Waterbus now transports 1.9 million passengers a year with its fast ships, making it the largest public transport company over water in the Netherlands. The most important clients of Waterbus are: the Province of South Holland, the Drechtsteden, the Municipality of Rotterdam and the Port of Rotterdam.
